Healing Garden Alameda

The Healing Garden – Outdoor Theater Venue in Alameda

Welcome to The Healing Garden!

Located in the heart of Alameda at 1435 Webster Street, The Healing Garden is the primary outdoor venue where The Foodbank Players bring free community theater to life (though we do perform at other venues from time to time). Surrounded by vibrant art, garden greenery, and a spirit of connection, it’s the perfect setting for performances that nourish both the heart and soul.

About The Healing Garden

The Healing Garden was created in 2020 by the West Alameda Business Association (WABA) and the West End Arts District (WEAD) as a space for healing, reflection, and community after a challenging year. Today, it continues to serve as a hub for music, theater, and local gatherings. The garden features colorful murals by local LGBTQ and BIPOC artists, comfortable seating areas, and a welcoming, open-air environment.

Why We Love Performing Here

The Healing Garden offers an intimate, outdoor stage where audiences can experience the magic of live theater under the open sky. Its relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere perfectly matches The Foodbank Players' mission: to make theater accessible to all, while supporting The Alameda Food Bank through community engagement.
